Like many great ideas (and half of the Finnish population), the idea for Kyrö Distillery Company was conceived in a sauna by a group of friends with a shared love of rye whisky. Rye-based Kyrö Gin (former Napue) boasts locally foraged fresh botanicals, including sea buckthorn, cranberries and birch leaves. The distinct fragrance and flavour of an early morning, misty Finnish meadow is instantly recognisable. Kyrö gin was voted as "The World’s Best Gin for Gin & Tonic" by the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2015 and in 2016 Napue won the gold medal in the San Francisco World Spirit Competition premium gin-series. Alcohol Content: 46.3%.
Enjoy your Kyrö Gin & Tonic with plenty of ice, a twig of rosemary, a few cranberries and your favourite tonic water. Kyrö Gin & Tonic: • 4cl Kyrö Gin • 10cl Fever-Tree Indian Tonic • A twig of rosemary cranberries (fresh or frozen) Sainio Gin Sour: • 4cl Kyrö Gin • 2 spoons of sea buckthorn berries, crushed • 2cl vanilla syrup • 3cl lemon juice Shake and strain. Garnish with sea buckthorn berries and a vanilla pod.
